OPERATIONAL ASSURANCE

ENGINEERED FOR
CONTINUITY

KEEP THE CREW UNDER AIR

SCBA gives you thirty minutes. A cascade gives you the rest of the job. Plug-in points across the worksite let essential personnel continue emergency well control and critical operations for as long as the situation demands.

SATISFY THE H2S CONTINGENCY PLAN

Meet your H2S contingency and drilling programme requirements with a system engineered, certified and maintained to standard. Air purity tested, documented, and audit-ready on arrival.

MOBILISE WITHOUT DELAY

Rental fleet held in Dundee and ready for short-notice call-off. Systems are pre-tested, containerised and lifted straight to your deck — no capital outlay, no procurement cycle.

TECHNICAL BREAKDOWN

CORE
SYSTEMS

01

HIGH PRESSURE AIR BANK

A 15 × 50 litre cylinder storage bank charged to 300 barg delivers over sixty man-hours of breathing air without recharge — critical when flammable or toxic gas in the atmosphere means the compressor cannot be run.

02

TWO-STAGE PRESSURE REDUCTION

Purpose-built reducing stations step 300 barg down to 200 barg for escape and SCBA cylinder refilling, and to 9 barg for cascade airline supply, with little to no icing at high expansion points.

03

AIRLINE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

Supply lines run to every critical area of the installation. Outlet manifolds and retractor reels give crew an instant plug-in point the moment gas is released — no walk back to a muster station.

04

INTEGRATED CHARGING CAPACITY

An onboard high pressure compressor recharges the air bank and SCBA cylinders between exposures, so the system resets itself for the next phase of the operation without demobilisation.

INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS

SECTORS
SERVED

Drilling and well operations industrial site

DRILLING & WELL
OPERATIONS

Exploration and workover programmes on sour wells, where H2S contingency demands breathing air at the rig floor, shakers and cellar deck throughout the operation.

Offshore and marine safety systems

OFFSHORE &
MARINE

Platforms, FPSOs, drilling units and vessels requiring compliant breathing air for confined space entry, tank work and toxic gas contingency under offshore lifting and certification regimes.

Refinery and petrochemical operations

REFINERY &
PETROCHEMICAL

Shutdowns, turnarounds, tank cleaning and decommissioning where sustained supplied-air working is the only viable control for irrespirable atmospheres.

OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS

TECHNICAL

CLARIFICATIONS

Our engineering teams anticipate the rigorous demands of offshore deployment. Review the technical parameters below to understand our operational lead times, safety tolerances, and system integration protocols.

How long can the system supply air for extended operations?

A standard containerised system with a 15 × 50 litre air bank at 300 barg provides in excess of sixty man-hours of breathing air. Actual duration depends on the number of simultaneous wearers and flow demand — we size the system against your worst-case scenario at enquiry stage.

How many personnel can the system support at once?

Airline supply is sized on flow: a single wearer requires approximately 300 L/min and two wearers 450 L/min, with each additional wearer adding around 150 L/min, measured at the wearer end of the line. Outlet manifolds and retractor reels are positioned to match your worksite layout and manning.

Can a cascade be deployed where space is limited or the site is remote?

Yes. Alongside the full containerised unit we operate small-footprint and trailer-mounted systems for confined deck space, remote worksites and rapid onshore deployment.

Is the breathing air quality certified?

Yes. Air is supplied and tested to EN 12021 breathing air quality, with purity test certification provided. Air purity testing can also be carried out on site during extended deployments.

Can the system be used where the atmosphere is flammable as well as toxic?

The stored air bank is the critical design feature precisely because a compressor cannot be run when flammable or toxic gas is present. For sustained charging in classified areas, an ATEX approved Zone 1 breathing air compressor is available.

How quickly can a system be mobilised offshore?

Rental units are held pre-tested and certified in Dundee for short-notice call-off. Lead time is normally driven by your logistics window and lifting slot rather than by equipment availability — call the technical desk with your dates for current fleet status.
